During the last five years, Parksville Fellowship Baptist Church has been focused on living out a specific Mission that we believe God has called us to.

It's been a Mission that has defined our purpose ... our reason for being ... it has be the answer to the question, "Who we you and what do you do?".   It has been the inspiration for us as we've Imagined the Impact that we could have in our local community and across the world.

Now, as we look into 2012 and beyond, we want to spend time Refocusing the Impact (download AGM Report HERE) and renewing our commitment to the Mission we are on and the Vision we have to see it realized!

Please take some time to remind yourself and refocus again on our Mission and Vision (below) and the Core Values (HERE) we hold as a church also.

THE MISSION (what God has called us to do):
To become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ who choose to impact our world!

THE VISION (how we are going to fulfill our mission):
By the grace of God, the passionate response of his people, and with the leading and empowerment of the Holy Spirit, we desire to impact our world in the following ways …

Through Prayer:
PFBC will be marked by a culture of prayer – that is we will increasingly be seen as a praying church. There will be both a corporate and a personal commitment regularly to prayer on all occasions, at all times, for all things.

Through Evangelism:
PFBC will be marked by a culture of evangelism – expressed through God’s people engaging in persuasive apologetics, increasingly exhibiting a transformed character and modeling biblical compassion, and manifest through the power of the Kingdom of God by the Spirit. We will learn how to share the gospel, to show the gospel, and to live the gospel through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Through Worship Services:
PFBC will strive to have worship services that glorify God and where people experience the tangible presence of God. In every worship venue we will read, pray, preach, sing, examine and learn the Word of God. We will regularly celebrate the things that God is doing in and through the lives of our people.

Through Growth Groups:
PFBC will marked by a commitment to growth groups – that is an expectation that we will commit ourselves to be in formal relationship with one another so we can connect, find support and encouragement, and grow in our faith.

Through Discipleship:
By God’s grace, we will constantly present a vision of life in the Kingdom of God that is so rich and real that people want to give themselves away for it; we will work to increasingly see people transformed by the power of God; we will undertake ministry which best aims at the equipping of the body for the work of ministry and the fostering of authentic Christian spiritual formation.

Through ‘Joining the Family’:
PFBC will be marked by a culture of warmth, love, hospitality, joy, honesty, and a concern for all who come into contact with our church family. It will be evident that we love our neighbors as ourselves.
